The Kindle Fire HD and the high quality plastic that the tablet is made of gives it a real premium finish.
It has a 7-inch 1280×800 LCD display that is one of the best for its size. The text is visually crisp, the colours are sharp and accurate, and the viewing angles are excellent. The Kindle Fire is even visible in direct sunlight.
However, unlike the iPad, Amazon lets you install apps from other sources (also called side loading) by simply enabling the relevant preference so you can install apps like Dropbox and Firefox that are not available in Amazon’s Appstore by visiting the respective websites, or by getting the APK file from other sources.
The device is perfect for reading books as well as watching videos.
